History:

Dominic had a weakness for one of his head maids.

She had an innocent look to her... She was youthful... Eyes that sparkled blue like opals... Porcelain skin covered her short, hourglass figure... Long blonde hair that fell naturally to her sides...

How could he resist.

But she was the exact opposite of him. He was a tall, older man, hair as dark as the midnight sky, navy eyes, built heavily with muscle.

Rich...magical.

There was only one problem with her. A single but unavoidable flaw. She was born into the world as an ajin.

Dirt poor.

But maybe he could fix that. If only he weren't married to Rose, he thought. He didn't mind sneaking around behind her back. Anything to see Daisy.

He treated the gorgeous girl to what he saw as normal amounts of everyday foods. In her eyes it was an extravagant feast of professionally prepared treats. He bought her nice things like clothes and jewelry and practically spoiled her, but she continued to be humble and accept the gifts with utmost gratitude. The relationship quickly became romantic and was kept a secret.

The maids arrived for work one morning only to find the house empty.

Dominic returned home sobbing softly and the house became eerie. His wife had unexpectedly passed away of pneumonia. His emotions were mixed about the situation. His wife was gone, but he could now be with Daisy. His stomach spun with guilt.

Once again, he couldn't resist.

He took his mind off of his widow by putting all of his attention onto Daisy. The maids became suspicious of the affair when he started to take her anywhere and everywhere he went in his widows place.

About two months after his wife's death, Dominic came home to Daisy panicking while being sick in the bathroom. He looked around the room for a towel for her and spotted the piece of plastic on the counter.

Positive.

Rather than the reaction expected of his heart dropping, he felt excitement. He walked down the stairs and fired all of his workers and maids, paying them off enough to keep them happy for the rest of their lives if they didn't tell.

He didn't want to put his child in the same situation their mother had grown up in. He set aside just enough money for him and Daisy to get by with happily for the rest of their lives, and the rest went to the child.

Girls.

He now had two of them. His lovely second wife and beloved new daughter, Desiree. He loved her dearly and swore to make her have the best life possible. As she grew up her light blonde baby hairs grew longer and darker, turning as black as her fathers hair by only ten years old. Her eyes were a perfect mix of her parents, being a perfect cyan blue.

As she got older, she wanted to be like her parents. She wanted to work for her money and have her own income. She asked her father to teach her his powers of magic for good use, and by the time she was only fifteen, she had conquered the power of healing and soothing wounds. Her father paid for her to have her own apothecary shop with him assisting her as a trainer in her medical practices.

Dominic did whatever he could to hide from the world that his daughter was an ajin. But Desiree did not only try to follow in her fathers footsteps but she was also curious about the world from her mothers perspective. Something that her father refused to allow.

She was seventeen when her father passed away of old age. That's the time when she decided to change up some events in her life. She kept the doctors office, but also got a new job, this one following her mothers path. Now, at the age of 19, Desiree will work part time at the Rothchild mansion as a maid.
